IKUT - These are the steps we take to receive a testimony.

Everyone starts off ignorant. But if we are wise and fortunate we gain knowledge.

Provided that knowledge is correct knowledge, and we apply it, we will receive Understanding.

As we develop that understanding through Prayer, Study, and Service we gain a testimony.

However, there is one further step. and that is to become converted unto the Lord Jesus Christ.

That comes through faithful dedication.

Elder David A Bednar taught a large group of missionaries that testimony is not enough.

We must become Converted unto the Lord.

 

IFMA - (The opposite of IKUT!)

These are the steps we take when we become lost.

Ignorance again, is where we always start from.

Then, if we receive false or incorrect knowledge we lose our way.

This false knowledge leads to MISunderstanding.

Misunderstanding then leads us to Active ignorance.

Active ignorance manifests itself in different ways. It may just be foolish, or worse, become violent.

We see this active ignorance all around us, every day.

It is important that we seek for correct knowledge by looking in the right places and mixing with the right people.
